Improved functionality for Genesis Energy customers

Genesis Energy is New Zealand's largest energy retailer, with more than 700,000 electricity and gas customers located predominantly in the North Island.

They wanted to make it easier and more accessible for new customers and their existing customers to access some of the most commonly requested functions of Genesis Energy. The ability for people to be able to go online and provide them with this information was key.

Gruden developed a number of online forms for both Residential and Business customers to do the following:

• Search online to see if the area you live in can be serviced by Genesis Energy.
• Join as a new Genesis Energy customer and sign up for electricity, gas or the internet.
• Add electricity or gas to your existing Genesis Energy account.
• Add an additional property or site to your existing Genesis Energy account.
• Inform Genesis Energy that you are moving property or business sites and organise meter readings, new address details, etc.

Previously only pieces of this information could be entered online but now the forms are much more comprehensive so it?s easier for both the customer and Genesis Energy to make the whole operation smoother.
